The Outer Ink Holistic Difference
Tattoo Removal Pricing
Tattoo Removal is not a one treatment job. According to industry standards, black ink takes an average of 8 sessions to remove and colour averages 12 sessions, however your unique tattoo may require more or less. Factors like age, ink colors, and placement (hands and feet take longer due to circulation) affect the number of sessions needed. That's why a Complete Removal Package is offered – one upfront price covers all sessions needed for flawless, tattoo-free skin.

How does laser tattoo removal work? The laser doesn’t remove the ink. The laser helps your body remove the ink. When tattoo pigment in the skin is hit by light from a laser the ink shatters into smaller particles which the white blood cells can then break down and filter through the lymph nodes and excreting it from your body. The speed with which ink particles are filtered out of the body is different for every client and is dependent on several factors including: where the tattoo is located on the body, the further away from the heart the slower the removal, how healthy the immune system is and whether the tattoo was a professional or home job.

Can I book online? At Outer Ink we really love to chat to our clients and get a thorough understanding of their particular needs. Please give Shirley a call to discuss your laser tattoo removal requirements and she will be able to book you in for an appointment. Call 0434 005 622 now.
-
Can I pay in installments?Yes! We understand that laser tattoo removal can be difficult for some to pay all in one hit. We offer After Pay payment plans to alleviate any financial strain. Contact us now to find out more.
-
What kind of laser machine do you use?We use the state of the art brand new Technology Spectrum Quattro Q-Switch laser which removes all colours including blue and green tattoos which are the most difficult colours to remove. Our machine is TGA approved and approved by Radiation QLD.
-
Is the laser hot?The laser machine is not hot but when we shatter the ink a lot of heat is created inside your skin. We literally cause sunburn to the inside of your skin. Your skin will feel hot, red, and raised after the laser. There may be some discomfort and pain present. The skin may feel rough to touch and there may be some itchiness as the skin heals. It’s vital to start your after-care supplements as soon as you get home to avoid blisters, scars, and infection. Cold packs can be applied to the area to relieve discomfort.
-
How long does tattoo removal take?Laser tattoo removal is not a one done event and therefore requires patience and time. Tattoo ink is stacked in layers like a brick wall inside your skin. The industry standard is 6-8 or more treatments for black ink on the body, head and neck. 10-12 or more treatments for any coloured ink and any tattoos on hands and feet regardless of whether its black or coloured. The laser itself only lasts 30 secs to a couple of minutes. We cannot use more power or longer laser time as we will end up hurting your skin and no one wants blisters infection and scars. Fading of the tattoo comes over time and is not guaranteed in the 1st treatment.

Does it hurt?Laser tattoo removal is often compared to the sensation you’d feel flicking a hot rubber band repeatedly on the skin. Not overly pleasant, but it’s over in a flash — sometimes seconds! We also cool your skin down prior to starting treatment to provide further comfort. Still worried about how much it’s going to hurt? You can also purchase numbing cream from your local pharmacy which you can apply pre-treatment. This works like a dream and makes the treatments so much more comfortable. Numbing cream such as Numb-It can be applied an hr before appointment in a thick application and glad wrap applied to the area.
-
Can I remove multiple tattoos at the same time?We can work on a new tattoo every 2 weeks, but then we must allow 6 weeks for the skin to heal before the next session.
-
How long until I can have my next tattoo treatment? The healing process for a new tattoo takes 6 weeks. Before treating the wanted tattoo again, the skin must be allowed to fully heal, otherwise the chances of scarring are far more likely. Treating a tattoo earlier than 6 weeks does not speed-up the process of laser tattoo removal.
-
What do I need to do after my treatment?A dressing will be placed over your tattoo. This can be removed when you get home. The treated area should be kept clean with continued application of Aloe Vera Gel over the next two weeks while the skin heals. Aloe Vera Gel is provided in your after-care pack. You should avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight and cover up when outdoors. Avoid excessive heat such as exercise, heavy lifting, swimming pools and saunas for 48-72 hrs. Avoid scratching, picking, or touching the affected area. Cold pack may be applied to the area to relieve discomfort. A comprehensive after care instruction will be provided to you before you leave our clinic.
-
Can anyone get laser tattoo removal? If you are in good health with no serious health concerns, there should be no issues with you undergoing laser tattoo removal treatments. Before commencing treatment of your tattoo, we will need to assess your eligibility with an initial consultation where we will get you to fill in our health questionnaire. Request your health questionnaire at outerinklaser@gmail.com or 0434 005 622
-
Can I have laser tattoo removal while pregnant or breastfeeding? We cannot laser anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. While there is no evidence to suggest there is any harm, this is a precautionary decision to keep both you and your baby safe. Feel free to get back in touch with us when you are no longer pregnant or have ceased breastfeeding.

Why fade a tattoo when you can get a cover-up instead?Starting with the cleanest canvas possible on your skin doesn’t only benefit you, but also your tattoo artist. Covering up a faded tattoo after laser tattoo removal gives you much more freedom with the design in terms of placement, colour, density of ink and size. This ultimately results in a far better-quality cover-up tattoo and one in which you will love forever.
-
How long is each laser session?Treatments are super quick! Most treatments last anywhere between a couple of seconds for a small tattoo and only a few minutes for a large tattoo. Over in a flash! You will be in our clinic for a total of 30 mins which includes pre and post treatment care.
-
How long does tattoo fading take?Approximately 4-6 treatments for a tattoo fading. All treatments are spaced 6 weeks apart to allow enough time for the skin to heal and eliminate as much of the ink as possible through the body’s lymphatic system.

What will my tattoo look like after the laser treatment? After the procedure, the area treated may experience frosting, redness, swelling, scabbing, pinpoint bleeding which will return to normal over time. An antibacterial ointment and a dressing will be applied to the area post-treatment to assist with healing which you can continue at home.
-
Can I scar as a result of my laser treatment?Due to our extensive training, scarring is very rare with tattoo removal in our clinic. Often there can be scarring of the skin from when the tattoo was done, which, in this case, will stay present once the ink has been removed.
